A Whisper Born Of Silence |

The silence lay a blanket down, extra-ordinary mist For not was heard one single sound, and all of nothing-ness did answer where the myriad of voices raise their cry "twas if, at once, they all did bid adeiu, fare-well, good-bye. Into this eerie quietude I probed in dis-belief. Not once had such an interlude occured how-ever brief. Preparing for their answers swift as questions could be formed, yet none were there forth-coming, drifting in this silent storm. And then did doubt assail me, who'd never been alone, such thoughts come in-advertantly, and not from flesh and bone, for surely nothing I could say would be of any worth and silence closed about me as a tomb not yet un-earthed. One inkling that perhaps was not a tomb where-in I lay, but more a womb, the silence whispered on that quiet day. |

I don’t know about you, but sometimes I just love the sound of silence. It can be so comforting at times. (mind you, at other times, I will blast the tunes til the house shakes…but that’s another story!!Lol). Love the poem Doc, I’ve read it a couple times now…such a reflective silence..you have quite a way with words. If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please? |

Doc, this is very, very interesting. I have read it three times, and get such piece from it, but still, there is an underlying feeling that all is not peaceful from where it came. Perhaps a Keeper, to be read again, yes? Yes. |

Startime, Thank you. If I could just master this poetry thing I would levitate the whole bunch of us. Ahhh, the power of words. Merry Christmas. Doc Zukene Chic, Thanks for the R&R . Not easy . Stumbling, faltering, halting, striving, searching, groping, grasping, and maybe , just maybe , once in a while succeeding. That is what draws me to this. Happy holidays. Doc Sunshine, Is your life that peaceful? If so I'm jealous. No, all is not harmonious in Bewilderment. Give and take, work like dog, drink like fish, write like fool, and to my way of thinking, live like king. I have found my place, and with it the will to continue. This is something that cannot be taxed, squelched, stomped, stolen, stifled, sabotaged, snuffed, ( but enough ! ) Spindled, Folded, or Mutilated ( too late hesitated ) dilated, related, be-lated, constipated, Hey we're on a " roll aided " moving at a frantic pace #**!, I really love this place! |

Very nicely done, Doc! Not a tomb, with no hope but a womb with the promise of new beginnings! Love it! |

I don't know which I like better, Doc - the poem or the response to Sunshine! In either case, I like your style.... |
