I would see fire where there is wind,
wind where there is calm, and
calm where there is fire.

I would see the calm and the wind and the fire
mixed and merged,
with the calm giving way to the wind, and
the wind to the fire -
would see the fire merging with the wind,
and the wind dying into calm,
and the calm
once again arising as wind and as fire.

I would see life as it is: in the living,
in the dying,
in persons, and
in forests and seas,
in flowers and trees,
and in worms and weeds -
see the life in spores and seeds,
and in the
mushrooms growing unseen.

I would see the life
in people's everyday lives,
life in our dreams -
life in what is,
as well as in what seems -
life
in the flow
of wind and calm and fire -
life in acceptance,
life in all desire.
