If when you’re sleeping and dreaming deeply
You might just catch a faint glimmer of me
I might float through your dreams hazy sight
Whispering lost memories in the silence of night
If you feel my breath grazing your parted lips
Or imagine you can feel the brush of fingertips
If something stirs you and you turn to me
Remember it was you who wished to be free

If the night gets cold and you seek some heat
And you think you can hear another heart beat
It might be just the phantom memory of me
Lying beside you where I have no place to be
If you try to pull me to you to still the chill
Then you’ll find nothing just the night so still
If you want to feel passion I’m afraid it’s all gone
Remember you were the one who was moving on

If you imagine you can hear me sigh your name
And you think you can feel the heat of my flame
It might be that my memories lingers with you
And that you think you can call me back to you
My butterfly presence that you imagine is there
Might be a fragment of a soul that won’t dare
The rest of me left your side when you said go
Remember you wanted your own river to flow

If your mind plays tricks when you’re asleep
And you think dreams are your own to keep
It might be wiser to erase the last trace of me
To forget that we knew each other intimately
It’s only my memory that’s been haunting you
And my ethereal spirit needs to pass on through
There’s hardly a trace of me left I’m almost gone
Remember that it was you who said so long

nice flow, would that I could see what I'm commenting on while I write this..those were the good old days, I also like how light it feels and how the presence of a loving spirit throughout; there is a mid stanza where you can eliminate a that to get a better flow..otherwise you're exceptionally
good at relating moods and emotions.

Sandra I actually believe that they do, that's why so many think they can try again.

Or maybe it's that they don't learn from their mistakes.
