~ Time To Let Me Go ~ If you hear a whispered name slip between my lips And you think I yearn for someone else’s fingertips If you are wondering where I go to when I’m in my head And can see in my eyes that this love is over and dead Please let me go, let me leave with some dignity Let me walk away before it destroys you and me Don’t hold onto something that’s dead and gone Don’t make our lives become an old sad song If you see my eyes go cold and they don’t seek you And my mouth doesn’t smile and I look sad and blue If my heart doesn’t race when I see you standing there And I look at you if I don’t want to know or even care Please don’t hold me back give me a hasty good bye Let me go quickly, I don’t want to see you cry Don’t try to say don’t go or please I love you Don’t ask me to stay and see this love story through If you imagine a look of regret in my sorry eyes And you think you hear a yearning edge to my sighs If you can see the words farewell written in each look And you know I don’t want to continue with this book Please let me leave, allow me to fly high and free Let me be myself, I need to go please release me Don’t keep me bound here close and near by Don’t beg or plead and don’t ask me why If you feel your souls been locked out of my heart And you can see that I think we’d be better off apart If you can taste goodbye whenever you try to kiss me And hear the strains of I’m leaving you in every melody Please cut the ties that keep me bound to you Let me leave you, let me do what I have to do Don’t ask me to keep walking this lonely way Don’t try to keep me when I don’t want to stay Marsha To give light to them that sit in darkness..... to guide our feet into the way of peace St John ch2 v1 |

Margie darling sister of my heart, I couldn't be happier, this was written simply because I wanted to make Keth sob her eyes out. You have no idea how many teary, sad and downright depressing poems she has hunted out for me. So I deliberately went deep down to find some of the sadest things I could. Did it work? And happy, like you I'm riding rainbows and my heart is wrapped in love. I wear love from head to toe.  (tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Marsha, this is so so heartbreaking, my heart croes out to your friend Keth and I hope you've helped him to cheer up, for I know with such a loving beautiful heart like yours you can do it! It seems like when one is unhappy the other one is also they just don't realize it or they are too desperate to let go... I have lived this several times and just recently I let one go...and I didn't beg or try to stop her...happiness is the ultimate goal...James |

Marsha - I could never let you go, and if I have to, I will put you in a cage to keep you here.lol You know I would never do that. This is such a great poem. Sometimes it is so tough for people to part even when the love is gone. I think if people used this poem as a contract before they got into relationships, then parting would be a lot easier.lol Dave |

Noah dearest friend thank you, every now and then I write a sad one just to keep my hand in. In truth these days I don't know what it is to be torn in two.
