The night's on fire
in the arms of desire
we embrace
in pure
unaltered passion
Not knowing
who
when
or how
but still loving
Dawn emerges
with hope
kissing
without touching
in this devine
glory of dreams
pretending not to care
about each other's fantasies
Screaming
out for love
once
twice
many times
Waiting for the
obscure daylight
to bring clarity
Liberating the
smog from within
from our fire
from our needs
Demanding love
regardless
more than ever
not forever
Like an addiction
perpetual
borrowing lovers
from others
if only for
a moment
of crazy torment
that instantly heals
and gratifies
the insatiable need
to love

Well said. Passion is a very strong attraction. Love is something we all desire but I think the love that is true is one that lives even when passion is spent. I love the way this poem made me think. Well done.
