Swirling winds through trees,
Bending back the evergreens,
Too brisk of a breeze.

Pull up your collars,
Walking in this wonderland
Cheeks will get color.

Left over leaves fly,
Searching for a winter home,
Briefly spot the sky.

Hide inside from snow,
To warm beside the fire,
It’s where lovers go.

We’ll watch together as the snow piles high,
We’ll stay together and not say goodbye.

Bill

A lovely Sen-Sonn for the Lady, indeed...and a veritable Keeper...

watching fall leafing
with summer's hope gone on breeze
winter springs again

Very nice imagery, Bill. I enjoyed this very much. It reminds me of the lyrics, "oh, the weather outside is frightful but the fire is so delightful." Warm and toasty. Cheryl

His Poet/Cheryl
Now that you mention it, yet it does, I guess those images of romance are felt by many and expressed in different ways.

Startime,
Now all I need is that snowy night, too warm here, and I’d like some for that Christmas spirit.  Can you send me some?

Kay,
Indeed! I would love to see some snow, but I wouldn’t go out driving in it, the people around here get CRAZY when it snows two flakes

SonNetier~
What a lovely presentation of inspiring thoughts~
Thank you for sharing~

Within the embers
Burns a bright thought of the heart
Stirred by magic thoughts
Bursting into warming flames
Softly speaking of your name~
