As You Stand Beside Me...Dream

Follow in my footsteps through this land of broken dreams
Together find the other side where we can still believe
In those who truly love us for the people that we are
Those who wish beside us as we wish upon the stars
As you stand beside me through my madness and my fears
As you put your arm around to gently dry my tears
I need to say my darling that I’m glad you are with me
Thank you for still standing, when in blindness I don’t see

Hold me as I dream tonight, please keep me in your arms
I love the feeling wrapped inside your wonder and your charm
Could there be a place for us, somewhere in this world?
Maybe reading by a fireplace within each other curled
We can interrupt our reading as we reach out for a kiss
Happiness is found in little moments just like this
If dreams are meant for dreamers, would you like to dream with me?
If dreams are meant for coming true, could this one ever be?

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

Tracey - dream large! There is only one thing that ever holds one back from realizing their dreams and that is fear. I didn't follow my heart but my friend did, and she realized hers before it was too late, and I am still waiting

- nah, had a happy life, but not the one I really wanted, so don't let fear stop you! Oh rambling, lol, loved the poem see - it got me thinking.
