Marge's Teensy Weensy Wish

Teensy weensy was the title
Grand and lovely was the song
Small the Christmas tree all lighted
Great the heart that sang along

Little verse of Christmas greeting
Knows not of it’s magnitude
For the love that I am reading
From enormous lights exude

Tiny is the unmarked measure
Thought to dwell in friendship’s pen
She could never know the pleasure
Nor the wealth bestowed a friend

I would reinvent a title
To a verse inscribed by Marge
I would make the letters fly to
To places high and spaces large

I would decorate a tall
An everlasting evergreen
To grace the valley of my soul
To live forever on the screen

It’s just a teensy weensy strum
But, oh the resonance it brings
A message of a grandeur strung
On harps of glory’s angel strings

If she can shine a light as this
A little star upon a tree
Why not us all, a teensy wish
Of love around a teensy tree

Each tree a little speck of light
Each wish a spark of Christmas cheer
A candle glowing in the night
Of peace and love throughout the year
