I hope you like it cause it's been a very long drought around here and thank you for stopping by,

A River Runs Through My Heart

Riding the river of life
through heart land of my soul,
come all and reside a while
give my heart a chance to grow
you’ll like what comes your way.

Ever present with cheerful glee
tending all who need me,
want so for visitors to stay
but knowing well they may have to
ride other currents come what may.

On many occasion my river
runs to over-flowing
spilling out-ward lifting spirit
to such delightful splendid high’s
giving my soul pleasure.

Something pleasing always a gain
things lost to troubles way
ride river never seen again,
often drought runs very deep
and even to the very marrow!

That’s when I bring to attention
all the blessings over looked,
at times heavy heart’s depression
can capsize the balance in me
loosing my tranquillity.

So please if you come to visit
plan staying forever and a day,
the floodgates of my heart will
never close on you this I promise
for I’m nothing without you.

A river run’s through my heart
a universe of soul’s
I’m just dying to meet
and share the special blessings
that only friendship imparts.

By, Cerenity

I like the friendship you offer here, that you do not close the floodgates, but let the river flow unimpeded. Very well done.

May the ripple of LOVE
become the wave of PEACE

Sounds like a great place
where my roots could take
sunshine on my face
for Happiness sake

This river at rest
your Tranquility
a place all do quest
and forever be

Enjoyed and look forward to more!

Cerenity - thank you for bringing a smile to a heart that was in need of one this morning.

a universe of soul’s
I’m just dying to meet

that only friendship imparts.

A most beautiful verse, friendships are very special. And you write as if you know that they are...

He is so right, friendship is a precious treasure and should be treated with love. I love the way this poem feels and sings like a flowing river. Magnificent. **hugs**
