The Shores of Alone

She's gone away and left me
for the festive holiday
I want to send my greetings
but I don't know what to say.

I want to send my love out
to each wondrous poet here
My muse is drinking eggnog
and her words are not so clear.

Shes gotten quite too snippy
So it seems I'm on my own
to wish you all the best days
with imperfect Christmas poem.

Sandra, your muse is just taking a little break. Maybe she is getting ready for a gigantic New Year's greeting?
And your wish came from the heart, so it is welcomed by mine.

Ah Sandra, at times it is hard to find the right words to send out greetings when we are not in a festive mood oursleves.
I understand, and know your wishes come straight from your beautiful heart.

Muses need a vacation too, you know...  Let her rest and perhaps use this break to be inspired by others'.  I have no doubt that she'll be back with many gifts to share, both with you and with us.

Sandra, there's no wrong way to give a sincere wish and you have done it with class (even without muse!)

catalinamoon,

That muse can be difficult can't she?   I wish you a wonderful holiday   I hope it is safe, happy and joyous.

I've yet to see a perfect poem, so this is just fine.  Words from the heart always are, my friend.     I wish you peace and many smiles this season, Sandra.  Watch as little Savanna opens her Christmas gifts.  That would bring a smile to anyone.   *hugs*

It's not the Egg Nog ... it's what you put in it

Nothing from you would be treated as imperfect.  We love what you write

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.
