Words in Time In a book, between loosed leaves Fountain pen inked, lay a leaf A bit of parchment, and upon first blush Left me in a state of hush Amid press of lilac spray Pretty words wrapped in bouquet A soft light scent from long past days Harboring sadness among the gay Written words for one heart’s swell Words of promise that once compelled One’s heart to heart, a pledge long kept Words so pure, I quietly wept ~*~*~*~*~*~ Render me unto thy heart of sighs Tend to me, but speak me no lies Come with vision of night’s bequest To seek but one that loves you best Serenade me one more time With this your heart which now is mine Intrude into my innermost thought With this, your love, for which I’ve sought Tighten your hold, grasp for dear reason This love that shall enhance all seasons This love to linger ‘neath fingertips This love that’s sweet upon your lips This love that crosses timeless air And stays as your “forever”…there… ~*~*~*~*~*~ And a date thereon inscribed Written back in ’eighty-five Was it man’s hand, or woman’s script The parchment trembled in my grip The last lines gave me pause to stare From one to another, this undying care This love that crosses timeless air And stays as your “forever”…there… ©Karilea Rilling Jungel 14 December 2000 revised 15 December 2001 |

Sunshine, this was so beautful that I almost cried. All I could think about was about a couple from the 1800`s. Juanita |

*sigh* I love it.....somehow it was like love was transported through time to the present. The ink of your pen giving it birth from the past. Absolutely magical. **hug** Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams. |

A love that lasts through all eternity. Beautiful write Karilea...I really enjoyed this. And, like VAS, it reminded me of my favourite movie Somewhere In Time also. Good write! ~Hugs, Nancy~ "A dream is a wish your heart makes..." |
