(My boss doesn't let me out much so if I don't get back here to respond as much don't hate me. and btw this is my first post so go easy ok?  thank ya)

You wore a flower printed dress
your hair swept up in a ribbon
somehow you made your entrance into
my life.  Yes, this man's life.

Believe it was somewhere over Frisco Bay
that morning, sun looked about the same
hangover refused to go away
but even through reddened eyes
I knew beauty when it walked before me.

You smiled and some kind of inner
welcoming laid out before me
I would have laid my coat at your feet,
I would have fell to my knees
to stop that moment.

Believe it was on to evening
hot dogs and cotton candy
and the ferris wheel ride
can't pinpoint the moment,
when "love" spelled out
with my name on it.

You let me hold your hand,
a grown man acting like a teenage boy
sure, I'll be eighteen again.

You, a woman-child.
Let me tell you something
My words are for you, no one else,
my hand is for you, no one else
you don't believe?

You believe this is all bull?
Sugar high, it'll pass,
my kiss will convince you.
Yes, I love you.

Hold on to me, honey, only a fool would
let someone like you slip away,
only a fool, and that sweet baby
I haven't been since I was eighteen.

Very cool line of intensity and devotion.
So we get to "officially" welcome you to Poetry Land with this...and I hope there will be more..tell the boss that union rules allows for poetry breaks
Well done poet sir.

Its not like you to say sorry,
I was waitin on a different story.
This time I'm mistaken ...
