Christmas Spirit

It is that time of year again.
The white snow gently falling
Children’s laughter heard in the air
Faint mist of your breath in the chill
Everyone bundled up warm
As they quickly bustle around
Invading all the shops and malls
Searching for that perfect present
For that special loved one so dear
Wrapping presents, paper and bows
The smell of fresh Christmas cookies
Drifting through the toasty warm house.
There is a tree standing proudly
Covered in twinkling lights and
Ornaments from the Christmas past
Children’s eyes staring with wonder
At wrapped secrets under the tree
Now is the time for family
To gather and embrace their love
The time for everlasting hope
Peace on earth and good will to man
A frame of mind that should stay
Alive in our hearts the whole year round

I hope everyone has a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!

If only the kindness shown to others during the Christmas season be something that could linger on until the next Christmas and the next.  This is nice, Tara.  It brings back many good childhood memories.  Thank you, sweet friend. *hugs*

Ahh yes memories of curious eyes staring longing under the tree, into the tree, atop the tree... oh if you didnt guess no kids just a kitten who tore down my tree three times in one week. ROFL It was quite a site indeed! My little one is lucky to be alive, she was caught under it two times out of those three. ROFL Love you Tara darling, Beautiful write! HUGS. Ter.
