The Gentleness Of Your Touch |

The gentleness of your touch upon my lips The gracious rise and fall of your curves The scent of your perfume on your pillow All exciting to me, arousing to me. Your little tunes as you shower, beckoning me. The playfulness of soap circles, tic-tac-toe. A kiss upon my wet face, absorbing beads. Our hands joined as our lips meet between us. Sitting at a table, coffee, staring through the steam Smiling eyes telling us how we enjoy each other. Toes playing touch beneath us, arousing. Your cheeks, two dimples waiting a kiss. Singing songs of you on the way to work. Over and over again until I am hoarse. Reading poetry to you and again singing Tears falling from my eyes as I read the words. Seeing your happiness as you listen and watch The awe of my words affecting you so. Hearing me say “Can You Love Me, Will You Care?” Knowing the words flowing are from my soul. Memories of this time, of other times...special Locked forever away within my soul and heart. Shared freely with those I hold ever so dear. Love given eternal from the deepest depths of me. You touch me in so many ways.... |

Ah, sigh...this is so beautifully tender and romantic. I sure hope your wife loves your poetry as much as we do. Though, I'm quite sure she does. If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please? |

Thanx Tracey....I dabbled with poetry a few years back briefly....Then about two years ago I started getting into it full swing... I have read several to her, sent them as Ecards and even posted one on the web for her with a little bit of help. The first time I sang one to her...it was awesome because of the look in her eyes and the glistening of a tear...I cried as I did it. |

Love in is a warm glow that you have put into words that we all can see and feel. It is refreshing to see the happiness of love. Dan Death comes not when we cease to breathe, but when we cease to dream. |

Magnus: You are one of the few poets posting on PIP that I read any time I have the opportunity (though often I don't get a chance to see all the postinga, as they come so quickly). I especially enjoy the way you use the physical (sweat, etc.) in your romantic poems; somehow they seem appropriately much more mature than the tons of poems that speak only of souls. Best wishes, Glenn Logan |

Well, I almost missed this one and I'm glad I didn't. Barry, are you SURE you're not a newlywed? I think it is wonderful! You're proud of your love and not ashamed to write of it, we love it, I know we all do. Just wonderful! Kathleen (Kay) |

Glenn...Thank you very much for your thoughts. I try to write what I have seen inside my mind and experienced....I try to write from within my true feelings...I don't write with a lot of words that are 50 center's so to speak...I just try to write it as I see it. I am greatly pleased that you enjoy my writing...It is a part of me that I totally enjoy doing... |

No Kay...not newlyweds...I have known Lou (My wife) since 1965 when I first met her. We fell in love in 1967 and were married (first time)...in 1969 on my 21st birthday. What a special gift that was...My wife teases me about it because my mother had to sign permission for ME to get married....Of course Lou was old enough (19) and didn't need it. We were divorced once about 1976 for a year. That was a difficult time for me, for both of us. Remarried in 1977 and have remained married since then... We have had our share of ups and downs... I am still learning (to this very moment) how to love her even more than I have. We still have our moments...but my poetry has helped us get closer...she now knows there is a very sensitive man that lives with her... We have three children, 1 (Sherri) who is 31 and Timothy (11) and Ashley (8).. Tim and Ashley are both adopted...They are very beautiful children...Trying at times but our love for them overcomes any of the normal problems of raising small children. Particularly at an age that you should be having them for weekends, not for life... But I would have it no other way... Ashley was almost an aborted pregnancy... but we intervened and became her adopted parents... We have had both of them since they were very small... Yes, I love my wife deeply.....I do have my moments when things don't go just so... but I/we work thru the difficult times.. I am learning how to be the person she and they need in our lives... My writing helps me get there.. Thank You Kay.... |

Suetang....thanx...I shared that with everyone. I wanted to because so many of us never share our life experiences with others....We find out that we are all much alike...in many ways. And there are millions out there that are just like us. |
