As the rain softly patters against the window A soft kiss awakens my senses As the rain quickens its pace So does my heart As the rain produces a heavy beat You caress my skin The lightning strikes the air As you pull my closer Thunder cracks the silence As our fevered kissing becomes more intense You keep my goosebumped body warm As you keep me from the storm- Holding me in your arms The storm becomes enraged As our bodies move together as one Our hearts return to their natural state As the storm slowly patters the window We kiss and fall asleep in each other's arms As the storm clouds fade away Poetry is spiritual ventilation! |
