big old Bangor Maine up by the shack

There are no devils here
no demons hiding to perform
just a needle poised
to deliver the blow

I am sorry about how you live
for your mother, father, girlfriend
no matter whom you wish to blame
it is your raisd had killing you

It is not from evil addiction rises
there is no force working to destroy you
just the weakness that comes with sloth
a lazy world you set to fall apart

Not much warmth in this one. Addiction is a cold and lonely street, one usually walked on from those suffering great despair and hopelessness, rather than sloth.
Perhaps I misread this?
