Lady in lavender..
a color so lovely
wrapping a heart so true
so true
that it fears the heart of you
and as she looks with questioning eyes
she guards her heart from view



With a lavender scent that
Seems all around
She fears her heart
Would be bound



Do you know what
does she say?
wrapped in lavender
that way?
she speaks of the silent message hidden
between the lavender’s folds
the fear of motives untold
How she distrusts
this passion you throw her way.
all she wants is  a heart
that would forever stay
and not one
that would leave her one day

Smell the lavender, dear
But always remember
The message it gives
So clear



And
Take real care
of the lavender lady, sir
show her the way you care
Give her the true heart of you
and she…
would make you feel a world
you’ve never known before
Just show her the way you adore
Her
And take her to the safe shore
Pledge your heart forevermore

(sigh) Oh my gosh, I love these all so much! (smiles) I never knew that lavender represented "distrust of motives". (sigh) May this sweet lady's heart be loved forever and trusted with pure love! (kiss on cheek) Sooooooooo beautiful! We all love you, sweet friend! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing!

Melody, did I say how much I love your poems? And this series is very special. I did not know the meanings of flowers as well, this is educational in addition to its beauty.

So many beautiful "Ladies of Color" in your series, yet they all seem to share a similar paradox of longing and weariness... I wonder if there is a "Lady Of Crystal" among them who is as clear as her clarity...?

Perhaps you are right...But this {Lady in Lavender} has forced its own feelings with the lavender message it encloses...So I've been just the messenger who delivered the message....
