Dear Ladies of Passions....As you read this poem you will see why there is a piece of each of you within this poem. Each of you have shared the hurts and trials of your lives and survived while giving love, support and compassion to everyone here. Know that in doing so you have won the greatest of battles and are indeed, WARRIOR WOMEN!!! I LOVE YOU ALL, DEARLY. **hugs**

Warrior Woman

Joy courses through
the breast of this
Warrior Woman,
for I know
I have fought the battles
of my life and am the victor

Now begins my journey
to reach the world
of the man whose love
has given me the strength
to face the twisted
trails of my life and self

The battles have been
hard fought and won,
with fear and pain
stalking each path chosen
as I steadfastly
move, courageously, forward

Determination is the pure,
strong, steed
upon which I ride
through nightmare realities
that I may come face
to face with my fears

Willingness the armor,
that protects me
from hurt revisited,
as it shields me
from the greatest hurt,
to finally be banished

Sent from the Higher Power
this man who holds my heart
ever urges me forward
as he casts light into a darkness,
black with the pain of a lifetime
filled with rejection

Knowing the battles
must be won
that my dreams may
be finally realized,
and I may finally join
with the man I love

With courage
and an awareness
that the Higher Power
is with me, I
surg forward
with my whole heart

Battles many, be they
large or small,
must be waged
from a life so filled
with pain, unending
as they are faced,
fought and won

Gaining strength
and self-esteem
with each battle
makes my armor
shine the brighter as
I fight the battle
of my life

Joy fills the breast
of this Warrior Woman
as I kneel, with love,
at the feet of this man
who fills my dreams and spirit
for he is the reward blessed to me

The gift I bring
is the precious gift of self
with willingness,
determination and courage
showing a woman now
freed to love completely

Karen Torbiak©

Very well written Startime !!
Funny how I came across this just tonight as I sat down at my PC to start on my nest literary masterpeice (HA HA)
Really, it is an assignment for one of my classes.
At any cost...in one of my paragraphs as I am giving advice to my daughter for when she is older I tell her that she was born with a "warriors heart".

Strange to me how us ladies are so far apart in distances and yet somehow connected by something so powerful as a common thought.

May the wonders of our sisterhood never cease.

God Bless

*grin* keep telling her and she will always have the heart of a Warrior. I wish I had felt that way when raising my daughters. **big hugs** such a small world that brings us so close in so many ways. Love to you, dear one.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

And while we are indeed warriors for having endured so much, we are also ladies,
passionate, caring, and sharing in sisterhood.
A wonderful write that needs be tucked into my lil ole jewel box,
Karen ....
listen as I softly whisper......
thank you for this one.

Karen, this is us, because it has to be. We became warriors by default. But hey, let's run with it now
