I awake early, rising from thoughts of new.
Wondering how to dress tonight for
the many faces, for my preview...
I'll "wow" them in my velvet black
with sheerness through and through.
Tonight, I'll be the one unmasked
a Cinderella, true.

They'll never know, the fear inside
of first times needing start.
But each dance I dance,
each touch I share, will show then,
I have heart.

My smile will spread the joy I can
with effort, from within.
I will own them with this smile,
new friendships to begin.
Finally, my life will dance
to rhythms beat, though slow
increasing, day by day,  the tune,
my melody will show.

It won't be long, I feel the pull
the outside world does hold.
The magnetism it exudes
allows me to unfold,
to share now parts I've hidden long,
those feelings kept in place.
Tonight, as Cinderella, I
unmask a brand new face.

This is a beautiful poem...absolutely beautiful and says so much about your inner self.  No mask needed.

Marge, Sy and Kay..*s..tonight for me will almost be like a Debutante Ball...I will be going to a new place, with new acquaintances, to eat, drink and be merry..and for the first time in a very long time, I think I shall be doing all three.  I may just have a new picture of me to replace the one with that tiring smile and a wonderful poem to go a long with  it..this time, you will see the elegant me...

thank you each, for reading and for your kindness and support always,
Maureen

Maureen,
I'm so happy for you. This is great news. Send me a picture of Cindarella! Hope you had a ball.

The past is history and the future is a mystery, but today is a gift and that is why it is the present!

Larry (my favorite brother's name*s)
I am glad you are smiling for me.
The event is tonight..it is sleeting here now,
and I am hoping it lets up a bit.
I have been looking forward to putting
my best foot forward and dancing the night away.
No one has seen me dance on here...but
I am the ballerina of the ball, when I do.
I have been kept from myself for several years now,
and although I have tried this past year or so to sneek out,
I haven't succeeded..but I promised myself, tonight was the night...
I will shed my cocoon, dry my wet,
spread my wings and be the social butterfly of old.
A Shame no one will be able to see it...
but maybe they will catch a glimpse of me in a morning poem...
thank you for even caring to respond...

What a wonderful adventure, Cinderella Wynter. That smile will surely capture the hearts that dance around you. I'll be looking forward to Cinderella and her poetry, though the Wynter I see is quite dear to me.

Hi BC..yes I was telling..at least to you, but that's cause you know me. I hope to catch up with you soon, but I think I wasn't the one wearing those blue jeans that  afternoon, was I? If I remember correctly it was Blue Jeans and Shades and a wonderful barbill that made me laugh and laugh for the first time, I believe. I remember events that are meaningful to me, and meeting you was one. I hope you will think of me tonight, because when I am dancing I will be smiling for you, knowing you are dancing for my happiness. Thanks

Oh well, I better quit while I am ahead and still feeling sprite. *s
