Reflections

Reflections from the icy cover
Settling over the chilled ground
Becoming the earth’s natural mirror
Reflections of the season’s past
Childhood playfulness long forgotten
Red cheeks and laughter from so long ago
Reflections from our present existence
Sometimes so full of joy and hopefulness
Sometimes sorrow and such sadness
Reflections of what will come ahead
Answers of the questions we all seek
Things we are afraid to gain knowledge of
Reflections that we sometimes choose
To turn our heads and not discover
Walking blindly without a care
Reflections we accept into our soul
Things we learn from and grow from
As our souls gains wise with life’s journeys
Reflections that are all surround us every day
If we’d only stop and take time to look
At the wisdom life has to offer so openly.

The carefree ways of life in the past will always lie in our memories, if i could, i'd be back in those days in an instant!

Lovely! We have our memories, and hardships, and we must create more memories, counting every day's blessings. The past is how we've come so far. Be proud of this and who you are!

*sigh* if only we could learn from reflections of others who have gone before us then our reflections would be happier ones. This poem is right on the mark. I love it. **hugs**

Tara what can I say? I love it, the memories came rushing back to me from years of my childhood I have somewhat forgotten in my recent years. Made me stop and remember the good times, and the not so good times, keeping my soul humbled and appreciative of life. Love you with all of me! Cubby, XOXOX
