Look there!
Do you see her arriving?
She is in her own time
a travelling world created by her sublime thought.
She is poet and painter of touch
the flavor of her cinnamon fire is yet unmatched
and the golden precious of her smile
has been commented on in whispers by men
who survived the flower of the tempt
but still have watering lips
aching to know the briefness of such skin.
Do you see her there among the flowers?
her feet cowering beneath the petals
beneath the leaves
bared and whispering
those feet tickle the ground
ahhh..a ground that knows to bow
beneath the feel of her feet
whether faltering or confidently moving along.
Do you see how she just glows
when all else withers around her
how the light shines just to spotlight
her soft and tender eyes.
Does she have them fooled into a fool's follow
when they all look on after her
as if she were some lost treasure
meant to be plucked by one final daring adventurer?
Does she, indeed
have truly one eye that would follow her
to the depths were she to fall
and sink
and roll over
staring upward looking for a hand,
and would they, with greed, glitter
and sell her although she is priceless
or would they care for her with loving fingers
fingers unfencing.
Look there!
Do you see her coming your way now?
Who is this lady,
this woman
this child?
This wonderous, enslaving potion of the heart
that so few dare to know
because of one small unjust label
located on her left cheek?
Does the battle scar she wears
from fights with armies of tears
give so much to their wrong impression
that she is unjust in her name?
She, the Temptress Tamed
once by love
twice by pain.
Could it be so wrong to have a loving palm
embedded in her soul again?
Should she feel the need to unclothe herself
before those who would read
only uneducated glances into the story of her name?
Indeed, she should not
for she is the Temptress
created for lust
captured by love
pained by loss
unearthed by friends within herself.
Queen of her land of names
and unfathomable in her depth,
and untouchable by your lowly opinions
that you try to disguise as wealth in thought.
Lady,
do not come any closer,
for you will never glow like she does.

Ahh..Startime!
You are sweet to say so, although I doubt I have written many masterpieces.   I am so glad that you enjoyed this. It was a new thing for me to just put it all out there and be so confident. Thank you again.

Irish Rose,
Thank you, Lady. This is no masterpiece...just the stirrings of things within me that I enjoy bring to light once in a while.

Enchantress!
Thank you so much for reading! Your confidence and enjoyment of my work is incredible to me, also.

Noah,
You are, once again, very sweet and generous in your reply.  Yes..Temptress was always the determined one. It seems that I have become her in some ways, although not many reach beyond the sensual nature of that name. I am thankful for those who do.

now this is the writing that I like to see from you. . . writing that comes from deep inside of your heart and soul. . .

and when it comes. . . it flows like a river that breaks the levee. . . wow. . .

simply outstanding. . .

Woohooooooo!!!!  You constantly amaze me...where do you pull these words from, what depth of YOU?  I'm saying WOW, and hope that's allowed and doesn't embarrass you.  Wonderful, sweet friend.   (((hugs)))

Beautiful writing that offers an equally beautiful glimpse of your tender heart! I especially love the lines:

"the flavor of her cinnamon fire is yet unmatched
and the golden precious of her smile
has been commented on in whispers by men
who survived the flower of the tempt
but still have watering lips
aching to know the briefness of such skin."

Such powerful imagery in your choice of words!
