Pink Stars

Through my telescope I admire the stars
Intrigued by their flashing blink
They were surreal by far
The color of a baby pink

I've never seen stars such as these
I studied them closely
They seem to duplicate in the breeze
Shining with radiance

The following afternoon
found myself in the bookstore
Interested in the pink stars
Desiring to know much

They were known as "love stars"
Considered to be very rare
Noted as Good luck charms
To rid lovers of their despair

Instructed to make a love wish
I did so obeying my gut feeling
That night I dreamed of the perfect "fish"
And awoke to the same pink stars on my ceiling

I didn't know what to think
I was amazed to say the least
Drawn in by their millisecond blink
Never wanting it to cease

A month went by
Searched for those stars every night
Maybe it was only a trick played by my eyes
but the pink stars were nowhere in sight

Then one day, I met this man
He asked me If I knew anything about pink stars
I knew he just wouldn't understand
So I replied "well the yellow are better by far!

We fell in love within five months flat
He was the one I was dreaming of
Pink stars, I thank for that
Those skyline cupids of love

stars.... so strange so strange. Just imagine, there HAS to be another solar system like hours out there. I guess I'd say, if it is just us, seems like an awful waste of space, doesn't it?

Joana,
What's with you and Regina seeing pink when you look up? Delightful poem. Almost as sweet as you! Now I gotta spend more time out in the dark...in the country I suppose. I can hardly wait!   By the way, it's good to be seen.

How sweet!  We should all be so lucky as to see pink stars!  (I've looked for mine, and just might have found them  .)  Thanks for the read ... it made me smile.
