This is my virgin effort in this forum. Be kind.

Dear John,
You are the one that I depend on.
Because of what I think of you,
It's time I give the loo its due.

I'd spent my whole life in a diaper,
But soon became a little wiper.
On your seat I would sit down,
Besieged by fear that I would drown.

When I grew up I lost that fear,
For you embraced my new sized rear.
I know on you I can depend,
To be there for me in the end.

Your job cannot be very fun,
Butt all the paperwork needs done.
Melodic movements cruise your walls,
Whenever Mother Nature calls.

I've come to you on bended knee,
Asking you to rescue me.
I lay my face beside your throne,
The porcelain princess leads me home.

Sometimes I think that you are sick,
But jiggling your handle does the trick.
And other times I need a tool,
To give you back your whirlpool.

If I had my way all bathroom stalls,
Would post this poem on their walls.
To tell the world true love stories,
Of pots, and stools and lavatories.

I must say I get satisfaction,
With almost every interaction.
I  just felt that something should be writtin',
About the place we do our …………. sittin'.  (Didn't have the nerve)

Roger

A new funny man in town!

Welcome, so you aren't a potty mouth after all! HAHAHA this is quite funny. In fact, I agree, I'll keep a copy by my commode, which just happens to be frozen right now!!!
Don't ask...you don't really want to know about the alternatives used here when this happens to the commode.

Startime,
A kissing smilie on my first response! If this is the level of humour you enjoy, we will become good friends. Thank you for welcoming me.

Midnitesun,
I'm funny looking & funny smelling.
A frozen pot doesn't sound so hot.
You're my first Alaskan! Juneau, I heard there's no place like Nome. The poem beside the pot isn't just a spare in case the roll runs out is it?

Kethry,
My Aussie Hottie and I are re-united! Haven't spoke with Marsha (British Bombshell). You are my wonder from down under and I'm glad we didn't have to say goodbye.

Roger

True Reflections,
Well poop! You know, an outhouse experience could change your mind! LOL

By the way, Welcome to Passions. This sounds like a good start for a fun association. Midnitesun needs all the humor she can get this time of year. Especially on the commode!

Titia,
I'm glad you liked it. About half my poetry is this silly stuff. I've been told my poetry has been posted in restrooms around the world. I guess people need a groan when they're on the throne.

Interloper,
Since my last name is 'Long' and I've been called 'Jolly Roger', 'Long Tall Roger' ( since I'm 76 inches tall), and a lot of other things; 'Long on the John' would probably be closer than 'Long John'.

Marsha,
A bustier and heels? You're playing on my weaknesses aren't you sweetie? It's nice to meet all these new people and since you and Kethry are already well known here, I can talk to you as you so richly deserve. I bet with all these moving icons, it takes you an hour to decide what to put in a response.

Serenity,
Were you describing my poem as cute and clever or me? I'm rugged and naive so it must be the poem. Hope I can add to your grin total in the future.

Sunshine,
Now I'm afraid to go near my E-Mail. I hope it isn't something revealing. Since I'm married, I'm not allowed to have enjoyment of a sexual nature anymore.

Lady Sofia,
Congrats on being a new Mom (notice the capitalization for the high esteem you are now held in). I have lots of poetry about parenthood that I hope you will enjoy.

Juanita,
I think this is a very nice site. It moves very fast for a slow thinker such as I (should that be 'such as me'? I always get these confused).

Larry,
I bet it's hard to go to the outhouse through a blizzard. I'd be afraid of getting stuck to the seat and freezing to death. Wouldn't make for a nice showing at the funeral.

Enchantress,
What a great username! Thanks for the big welcome and I hope I bring you a few smiles along the way. As big as I am, I always make a big splash.

Rose Petal,
My entrance is usually a backwards crawl, but I wanted everyone to see my good side (well better than the other side). Thank you very much for the welcome.

A Rose Petal and an Enchantress like my poem. This is a good day.

Lyra,
Are you 'THEE' Lyra that stole my Moontown heart?

Joe,
Is that a roll of toidy paper? I always wanted to be on one of those. I'd be grinning. Then I could finally wipe that silly smile off my face like my momma wanted.

Florence,
I thought Florence was in Italy, but here it says you are in Singapore. Mon Cherie is a name that makes me go into my Gomez Addams mode and want to kiss your arm from wrist to shoulder. My parents once told me to get off the pot and to just say no. Haven't gone near it since.

Aww ... the love between a person and his/her toilet.  Nothing does compare, does it?    I thought this was absolutely fabulous.  Where would we all be without our dear John?  This kept me laughing long after the last line.  Thanks for sharing  .

Dark Angel,
The world of toiletries is a dark and dangerous business. People get wiped out all the time. Just wanted to shed some light on this topic.

Noah,
With you being the 'King of Love Poetry' here, I wondered if you could relate to a love of the John. Thanks for the welcome.

Balladeer,
You're like the Clark Gable of PIP and I'm honored to have you poke fun at my pot. Unlike my wife, the john puts up with my crap  and doesn't try to change the wonderful man that I am. Ok, even I don't believe that last one.

Angel,
A man has the pull to 'boldly go where no man has gone before'. To men it is not 'Dear John', but 'John Deere'. Glad your man has his priorities straight. He's married to an angel.

Roger
