How Many Shades of Green - for Marge's challenge

How many nervous phone calls
do I have to coach you through?
Then listen to the details
of everything she said to you.

How many lovely ladies
paraded for approval
only to find out that she's
adept at heart removal?

How many 'fatal' heart breaks
do I have to nurse you through
till you get it in your head
it's not going to kill you?

And how many shades of green
do you want me to become
before you realise the fact,
for you, I am the only one?

Summon the courage to step out of your familiar rut and suddenly many of those things which held you back will no longer have the power to do so.

Andrea...

I know what you mean!! I've been through this once myself. They treat you like their sister or best mate, and it takes absolutely FOREVER for them to finally realise that they do actually like you!!

Wonderful write.

SmartChick, thanks glad you enjoyed this.
Marge, I read others and tried to go a different way with my poems. I am working on more and hope you enjoy them as well. Thank you
