He told me his name was Forever
And I believed him to the very end
He said I was his only sun
Then I was left with an eclipse
He was everything a maiden dreamed of
And the ancient one only remembers
I tried to hold on to the promise
But the mist of my mind disolved thought
Today is at forevers end and nothing beyond
I've climbed the mountain to the top
But can't use the same foot holds to come down
It all started when he said his name was Forever

Mother Earth,
I really enjoyed reading this, though the feelings behind it is not in the least enjoyable...

"I've climbed the mountain to the top
But can't use the same foot holds to come down"

This is what happens when we're given false hopes, isn't it?? First, they make us so happy, it feels like we're on the top of the world. When this platform of 'hope' vanishes, we plummet to rock bottom. Unpleasant...

Sudhir, thanks for your answer

Mon Cherie, I see you understand.  But we keep looking for another Forever.

Very nicely written.

Glenn,  Seymour  and owgman:  seems we all like the view from the top of the mountain and don't worry about the climb down.  Thanks all!
