Here I lie in grasses tall
a girl, a woman
one combined in wishes

Melody of sun
beaming spots
freckling mind

Sending my thoughts skyward
in sun kissed upward streams
I know
we see the same sky

May the mockingbird
speak to you
in recognizable tone
of the joy I find, in you

May the crickets
whisper my endearment
as the breezes rustle
just right
through the willow

bringing you evidence
of my warmth, my scented hope

May the reflection
in the wishing pond
be the portal of our faith

as I lie here in grasses tall
feeling small
in tangerine cotton
squinting at the sky

just a girl, a woman
waiting
to see the clouds
arrive

knowing
you’ll paint them pink for me

Just when I'm getting ready to shut this thing down I read this absolutely glorious poem!  I love it.  Yes, keep looking skyward, it's beautiful up there.

(smiles) Awwwwwww, this is soooooooo beautifully surreal! (smiles) I will not only add pink to the clouds, but bring kaleidoscope colors to your clouds! (sigh) Sooooooo beautiful, your words always create the heavens and nature so majestically! I love it!!! (kiss on cheek) I love you, sweet friend! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Regina, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Regina,

This is some of the most lovely imagery I've seen in your work and one of the most beautiful poems of yours that I've had the pleasure of reading.  Thank you more than you can know.   (((hugs)))

Yes, I know I am to be in bed, but I had to reply to this.  This is wonderful writing
Were you and I under the same cotton candy clouds this day?  This imagery is lovely
and the depths of your words is as a magical
gift that you bring to our vision.  Now to tuck something into the treasure box before going to bed.  Surely I will dream of beautiful skies, floating amongst the clouds.
Thank you dear somy~ this is wonderful.

Lovely!  This piece is filled with such beauty ... the images just seem to create themselves in my mind as I read each line.  Well done.

The clouds upon your calling, on breeze do fly your way
Coloured in the brightest pink to fill your dreamy day
Turning squint of gazing eye to one that’s wide to see
How beautiful and wonderful up there the world up there can be

Dear Regina, enjoyed the write and the pictures that you have shown through words.

Great work.

Sincerely
Rick
