America Weeps
By Melissa P. Monette

Standing proud and tall
let us join together
let us rise to freedom's call
a nation united in prayer
releasing our pain and fears
embracing by the light of dawn
to ease the eagle's tears
as the candle of hope flickers on

"Poetry is not an opinion expressed...
it is a song that rises from a bleeding
wound...or a smiling mouth"

~Kahlil Gibran~

We will douse the enemy fire with our tears... and freedom will forever reign in our hearts. I stand with you Milissa hand in hand we pray for peace and God in his mercy will see that Goodness will prevail... A great heartfelt write!   Maggie ((~.~))
