In the early morning hours
hushed dream review
I slowly sip my coffee
and think of you

As I sit in class
My mind drifts to you
I look at my books
But only you come into view

I busy myself
with things of everyday
and still these thoughts of you
seem to find their way

I just took a test
I wondered why I got the look
He said you passed the test
But who is this

I go about dinner
and found I've made your favorite dish
if only you could join me
I silently wish

As I knock upon your door
In total silence I now await
I hear you walk across the floor
I just wonder if I will get my wish

as I cross to answer
I hope somehow it will be you
and opening the door,
I see my wish has come true
