Behind The Cry Walls ~*Marge Tindal*~ There, through the cracks, do you hear it ? Muted mewing of a soul seeping sounds of sorrow Brick by brick mortared in melancholy Wall of wail day by day Tear on tear without fail If the keening can seep out why can't hope slip in ? *For my firefighter friend~ September 28, 2001 ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

I dont know how they do what they do, but they have the worlds admiration and prayers. A tender, heartfelt poetic dedication Margie. Hugs ![]() jm |

In your wildest imagination of contemplating what they are doing and accomplishing, you may reach 20%. It has passed being heroic, it has passed being worthy of the highest awards, for none would look on it in that manner..Hold in hearts forever, for there stands and works, the finest flower of man and womanhood..well done, keeper, well done, very gentle smile |

We cannot even begin to feel what they are feeling. I saw a firefighter on 60 minutes and he said "had it been 3 seconds earlier or later, another's picture would be famous now", and he was just doing his job! God bless them one and all always. Wonderful poem for your friend Marge, and why indeed can't the darn hope seep in. |

mortared in melancholy Wall of wail day by day Tear on tear without fail If the keening can seep out why can't hope slip in ? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Your words express very well a part of what we see on the faces of the brave fireman, and the many others who we see on television. So many helping, and trying to hang on to hope. God bless them all, and you too Marge for the care you share. Hugs, Deb |

I wrote this after talking to my friend, Brian, who is a firefighter for the New York Fire Department - for 17 days now ... Brian and many others with him, have seen war-torn devastation and met death in the rubble. These sensitively emotional men are stretched beyond their limits of grief ... and yet cannot give into it - yet. Heroes ? ... they don't think so ... and at this point they can't find the 'HOPE' that they had when they first began this 'rescue' operation. Recovery ... god, how they hate that word ... but, that's what it's come down to. Whatever you do ... before you close your eyes this night ... remember ALL of those who have aided in this effort in your prayers. It's far from over~ God bless them all~ ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

We've seen many heroes these past weeks, is amazing how they don't see themselves as such, hummility is perhaps part of their heroism. Thanks for sharing this great poem. |

Marge- We all must continue our prayers for these humble heroes. They are truly special people. I'm so grateful that Brian is okay, and is there to help. Love you, ~Vicky "...until you have read the verse on his heart, |
