With Tongue In Weak

~*Marge Tindal*~

In the aftermath
I try to speak
Tears cascade
with tongue in weak

Dip of pen in ink of well
tributes come from
depths of hell

Flask from cask
of hearts in cry
Tongue in weak
of acts deny

Ache of break
no more can I take
Blasphemous cacophonous
the tones imply forget
Tongue in weak
tears of sever
I cannot forget
nor will I
ever~

~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~

We bite our tongues in silence, remembering we must never forget, yet move forward to ensure things change so events like these won't keep happening in our 'civilized' world.

sometimes we cant find the verbal words to speak the pain and fear felt...
sometimes our poets pen can speak for the heart that is silenced by the losses.
You stir up many emotions with this powerful write Marge...I can feel your strength and fight.......

AWESOME picture!!

This distance has shown how the road remains alone
Now I'm looking in my life ... for a truth that is my own.

I read all the comments as well as your poem and as I too am in a place of anger, but trying to move on, I find it even hard to find the words to convey the feelings inside of me but know I have to move forward in order not to be stuck in a place where these terrorists would want me to be.

Marge, an excellent write, which I fully relate to, and the graphic also says a lot, for at least that is all I see when I open my eyes, as it is always in the back of my mind.  Just a fabulous poem.

Try giving your smile to someone who does not have one, and I bet you'll find another ~*~ Mysteria ~*~

I agree, gentle keeper, for apathy strikes and we do not feel we should infringe on the rights of others to their beliefs, but I tell you true, get with it or get out, for our country is at war, do not let this be another Vietnam of which we are ashamed to be an American. I don't worry about offending, I don't worry about saying, this is our flag, this is our country, these are our dead, be of support or seek other countries where you would be more welcome.  Hang in there, Little Goose, the fire burns..very gentle smile

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Marge, this is so so true, and my heart will always cry out to the families and innocent civilians affected by this tragedy. (big hugggssssss) Your golden heart shines with true love and compassion, sweet friend! God Bless You! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Marge, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

I couldn't say it better than Logan did if I tried... so I'll just compliment you on merging perfect words and a compelling picture in a great presentation.

There IS no excuse... and I will NOT forget.

Marge,

I know that my daily life has changed since September 11th. As I used to enjoy the serenity of not having the tv on much, we don't dare not have it on to chance missing special announcements.

My appreciation to those who understand that moving on is not an option for me yet ... standing the vigil with the families of those still missing, remembering each day with them is what I must do~
