Today is a day when I said I would be away.
The feelings that I have, so mixed though true.
I will think of you each moment, each second.
I will want to be there, with them, with you.

My heart will be heavy as I fly above clouds
My knees feel the weight of my loss.
My hands, wringing and fidgeting will tell
that the clouds are not where I wish to be.

Your face will grace the back of my eyes
as your flowing voice touches my ears.
I will dream of the moment when I return.
For you faithfully await, your arms open.

Keep me in your thoughts as I will you.
Keep me safe with your every prayer.
Wish that I might safely return again.
As I wish....as I wait to feel pure love.

White powdery sands will await my feet
for those walks, empty and not shared.
A silent meal will taste bitter without you.
My every moment will feel as an eternity.

I saw the tears, felt my own as I turned away.
Feelings so familiar from another time, day.
Keep the faith, watch for me, I shall return.
For within me, my heart, your love does burn

*sigh* this brought tears to my eyes as I saw you saying goodbye....*sigh* you have written it perfectly. When people are in love they feel lost without their companion and I can feel you feeling lost without your dear wife. Beautiful and heartfelt feelings that touched my heart. **hugs**

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

I know this feeling very well. I am away for 6 days right now and missing someone too. You have written it very beautifully.
