If I kissed you
would you try not to laugh
there’s a time and place
for everything
would you put down your book
just for a moment
give me a chance
to catch your notice

If I kissed you
softly
would you
kiss me back

somewhere in this night?

The beauty of your thoughts and words never cease to amaze me Duncan. A lady would be a fool not to put her book down for a kiss like this. Yes, I'm quite sure that she would stop laughing, stop reading...for this kiss...in this night.
You caught her notice long ago
She stopped her laughter don't you know
A bookworm though I know she is
She'd lay her book down for your kiss
And kiss you back with lips so soft
A blissfull moment, timeless thought
And somewhere in this long dark night
This kiss just makes the world seem bright

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

Aww, this made me sigh...
But cute nonetheless. I liked how softly this came across.

Always late when there's some fun going on.

Kissing Uhhhh???

Later at night or at morning dew
I'll send you kisses more then a few
And leave a candle with burning flame
So you can see from where those kisses came

Love your poem

Ahhh...only a fool would not put down everything and take advantage of such a kiss. A very nice sentiment of longing. Enjoyed.

*sigh* I know that I have just come in at the end but do you think you might have a kiss left over for me? I would melt from just such a kiss as you would give.

Larry---I don't respond to my own poetry, however for you, big boy, I'm making an exception.  Regina's right...you don't know what you're missing.  Now shut up and get in line.  How's that for a challenge?

LOL!!! Your kiss is stirring up emotions Duncan. I just peeped in because of the tremendous responses. So glad everyone sees this as a keeper! Larry...leave Duncan alone...I meant that between us (Ladies)..we'd be foolish not to take advantage of such a kiss. Now put your lips back on before I tell MOM!   Hugs!

Sincerely,
Regina

she would certainly be a fool
a kiss from you would make her drool
to have a kiss from a man like you
would surely be a dream come true!
