How many smiles do you see a day?
How many eyes lock on yours as you pass?
How many people are struggling to say
Hello as they watch from the back of your class?
So many hearts must your eyes hold in place
So many stars wish that you were their sun
So many people too easy replace
All the hopes and the dreams of the loneliest one

This is so much the kind of poem I like. It is lyrical, it shows sensitivity ... wonderful write.

Kevin, this poem is just the reason that I love your work. You always show such incredible insight to the way the world works and you add the comman emotions, thoughts and feelings of most. You are a wonderful poet and heart.
