Listening to every heart

11/11/01

I am but simple woven cloth
red has streamed my greater cost
white waves for all that cried
blue reveals truths, realized

take me in hand, place me o’er grave
so all the world may see me wave
give thanks to all Veterans you see
who gave their lives, that we stand free

Sunshine,
I have relocated to England, and would like to relay the fact that our American flag is flying high and free here also!  Thank you for this reminder, and the chance to honour those who have given their all....

The road goes on forever, the stories never end, and people are the same the world over!

At 11 am this morning I was in a shopping centre, the bugle played it's tribute and we, shoppers and shop keepers stood silent for a minute remembering.

A special day here in Australia.

Beautifully said Sunshine.

Karilea....as a veteran of 26 years in the
USN...I do appreciate your gratitude...My
father would too...(WWII vet)....and so
many others...including a very vital part..
sometimes forgotten....our families who
sacrificed a homelife while a husband,
father, dad and friend were away....And
this applies to the women of the armed
services as well....Their contribution is
significant...

For them,  all of them....I thank you..
