on the horizon of a fairytale

The Woman in Me….

Deep within a shell of fair skin,
emerald eyes, and pecan hair
hides a woman of sensuality

her sighs of passion long ago hushed by
the hand of propriety, her fingers, delicately
skilled in the art of caress, are bound and gloved

her eyes, swift in their dash to your heart,
have been blindfolded in darkness, her
legs, shapely with the promise of a
wonderful dance, now crippled and lame

her heart, thought to be the seed of her
passion, sliced and bled dry

and so is left…the soul of the woman in me…..

this woman's soul drowned in the shallow waters of a man's heart.

I always find it difficult to comment on the style of a poem when the substance is so unsettling.  Truth is...as always, I enjoyed the way this was written.  It communicates quite well the feeling of self loss by anothers control.  If this is a personal experience for you, I hope you will soon find a way to change the reality of your soul.

Well written, honest....open......expressive writing of what was, is........and
what indeed can be again.......

On the wings of words our spirits fly....and our souls are free.

There's more to this than meets the eye and what meets the eye is very good
