She looks through me with broken eyes The looking glass of her own device Shattered pupils that once were wise Now they’re splintered in her own demise I am helpless, she’s breaking through Flooding eyes that flicker blue She could save me if she wanted too But she says that our love is true She’s a beggar in a soup parade She would lie if her bed was made I’m the one that her eyes dissuade To believe that our debt is paid I have nothing for it all seems waste I would love her just to have a taste Of fruitlessness found in love in haste Might then her eyes would fill my face She’s my lover, she’s my only friend But our lives are based on false pretends Since she’s had me I’ve had time to spend The kind that filters into a timely end I am frozen; her tears are breaking Sow my eyes until they are aching What she lost she's now retaking Even though it’s all of her remaking She’s a devil pouring eyes of red Turned from purple where the blue once bled She could love me but she will instead Use her powers to invade my head I will love her till the day we die I can’t help it, I can’t even try She has me inside her broken eyes I can see her through a thousand lies [This message has been edited by wayoutwalt (edited 11-09-2001).] |

WOW is right. 'She’s a beggar in a soup parade She will lie down if her bed is made I’m the one of which her eyes dissuade To believe me that our debt is paid' This is only one part that stands out in my mind. WOW. I refuse to highlight the entire poem.  |

For some reason this reminded me of that song by the bee gee's, "How Deep Is Your Love?" The whole poem rocks. You've done a marvel, comic! |
