a fantasy poem

Cashmere fingers touch me
as the rain falls
and I stand, waiting.
My palms open.   My arms
cannot hold the drops but soon
they will hold you.
I am free, free to open them
and free to love you.

I will wait for you, in the rain,
fragile but strong.
But I am a woman.
I need your arms around me.

I am standing, unafraid.
But still, I am cold.

I need your strength
to protect me.

Soon, for I have waited long enough,
you will find me, come to me,
shelter me and love me
and tender will be
the lace that covers
the edges around my heart…

-befriend yourself and you will never be alone-

As someone who believes that if I don't own an umbrella, it will never rain...I keep getting proven wrong.  So, I liked the idea of this poem alot.  It's ok if it rains, as long as there are arms to warm you afterwards.  Great, though kinda soggy fantasy.

Lady!!  How do you do this? It just sort of picks me up and carries me along.  Beautiful writing...I could say much more, but, I would only start to ramble and this piece is just sooo precious!
Thank you, hugs, Nancy.

This feels like the soft underbelly of the most feminine dream...so delicate and so delivering! I love the entire verse! The last stanza is resplendent! Bravo!
