Kiss Me

Kiss me just once,
let our lips softly brush
~
Feel the heat rise
from so gentle a touch
~
Pull me in closer
when you see my lips part
~
Deepen the kiss
to connect heart to heart
~
Hold me tighter
as we dance in the wind
~
Gaze into my eyes
and drown in them again
~
Let our tongues dance
to a rhythm uniquely ours
~
Let passion blind me
in an explosion of stars
~
Float me on a whisper
as we spiral, together
~
Kiss me just once
but let it last forever

I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound.

Such pure and gentle words from talented lips ...
it pulls you in and softly caresses with the slightest touch
and then drowns you in all its glory ...
this is one of those that shall last forever!!!

Great piece!!!

Welcome Tara. This is an outstanding post, first, second...in any position I'd say the same thing, it flows very nicely, with a  gentle strength.

I've forgotten how warm the welcomes are here.  I used to post under "Tara Simms" but got a new member id due to my recent marriage.

Thanks for your replies!

Tara,

Welcome "back"  Mrs Hall   I was wondering if you were going to change the name. Although I've said it before, it seems appropriate to say it again here given your new ID - congrats on your marriage; may the two of you always find happiness in each other's arms and smiles.
This poem is absolutely beautiful! A rush of romance tinged with passion that carries the reader to the promise of love at the end. Chris inspires you well!

Martie, Marge, John, Sandra, and Jeff:  Thanks so much for the warm wishes.  It's good to be back.  I think we're getting settled into married life now...he keeps telling me I need to get back to my writing.  Hopefully, I'll be posting more frequently now!

Thanks for reading everyone!
