This is about my Mother-In-Law. There's too much to get into but this is very true. Recently she has been my light and my strength, and as the poem says even without a mouthful of words. I have not given her this and not sure if I ever will but I just wrote from the heart and wanted you all to read it.

Simply Silent

There are thoughts that have been hanging here in my mind so long
And, not even the rust from time changes the effect on me
For forever now I thought those who really saw them there
Were the ones who found the words to come ever free...

But, one night under the pale moon light silence hit me like never before
And, now the calm finds me holding chance as if it were my last time
I know as plainly as the wind that blows for us all to feel
That there doesn't have to be words for there to be an angel of mine...

Simply silent she is and yet her heart dances like no other
And, she doesn't even see the river of hope she provides me with
For just in passing of one another I find an absolute light over her
She's so beautiful in the white halo she doesn't even know exists...

Each time I am even more drawn to her angelic like soul
For I believe God left answers in even the silent ones
Sometimes all it takes is just knowing my heart remains in her hands
And, I can fall asleep to wake knowing her heart will be my sun...

She doesn't say much but she simply doesn't have to at all
And, she isn't as visible as the rain when it decides to fall
For she is way more than what any eye can ever view
Cause only the heart can feel what an angel can do...

Simply silent but this angel says so much
She just seems to make my nights a little less rough
She believes in me but I believe in her awesome gift
My simply silent friend is my angel and she doesn't know it...

Very few can express love and devotion for another person like you can, Sauni. I am so happy that you have shared this, but in all honesty, I think it would be most wonderful if she could read this too. HUGS, you wonderful poetess, whom I am proud to call my friend.
