Waiting

In the fever of the moment
I cry out for you.
The warmth of a soak
hasn't helped the ache I feel.

Drowning in liquid
doesn't stop the cough
from rising in my throat,
wishing a kiss could replace
my sighs of ill.

It never fails to come to me,
when the world has sprinkled
a bit of hope my way.
Waiting, is all I ever do.
Waiting, is all I can do.

In time this too shall pass,
but in the fever of this moment
I still wait for word
from only you.

~Wynter

"For it was not into my ear you whispered, but into my heart.
It was not my lips you kissed, but my soul."
(J.Garland)

*sigh* the waiting can be the hardest part of all when it involves love. You have written those feelings one gets when waiting so very well. BRAVO!!! I love it.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

Some of the best things happen to those who can wait ...
to any response, life, love,
or just the right moment.

Thank you for sharing this waiting moment,
I hope happiness shines upon you as your words shine for me here. With my best always, Craig.

I hope you are feeling better soon

Hey, you're back!  I'm not writing anything right now but I wanted you to know I am getting better and hope the writing helps. Maureen, take care of yourself first!

Feel better, and guess what, I am waiting for everything still, also. And it seems neverending.
Take care.

This one is thought provoking.  Nicely done.
