Autumnal Fog Virginia Salter morning fog blurs this sentient being’s vision like smoky vapors off dying embers of earth raling up a coughin’ spasm where maybe none would have been found causing my very soul to seek answers, some kind of sense, in what I feel or don’t feel, in what I see or don’t see it’s as a pall has settled upon my earth my world confounding the present with the past and the future leaving a limbo in its wake © November 3, 2001 Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |

It's amazing how fog can somehow make our thoughts drift in strange directions. You wrote this so well I could almost feel the fog flowing around making me feel unconnected somehow. Well done. ![]() ![]() Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams. |

Your poem has that misty, foggy feel to it. A good setting for reflective thoughts on the state of the world. |
