When I said friend You ran and hid You took and took Yet did not give At the end of the day I wonder why I stay To give and give Be used again BECAUSE when I said I'm your friend that's what I meant and even YOU , You understand a friend is what I truly am With your selfish eyes Those one way lies That put the real you in disguise Who are you now ? No friend of mine... I may still be here for you Until the end of time I just question if ? Somewhere between now and then will you ever finally learn to be My Friend ??? |

Jonnie, Of course I am your friend; I always have been. The difference is I'm learning to be a better one.  A beautiful and honest poem filled with wonderful emotions and questions that should be asked of everyone. Think of how much better this world would be... What is a friend? Someone that will still be standing beside you when the others start throwing rocks at you. That is a friend. Nice write...I liked this. |

First I would like to say this was only my 2nd post .... go read my first .....LOL It IS better though..LOL But , Truly, I REALLY want to Thank each and every one of you for your comments and support, since I am new here.... it was a shock to me , to get such nice replies and so fast even.... I too have lost a lot of friends due to me being a better friend to them, then they were to me... Best of luck with the friendship ! Hope it works out well ! And Good Luck here in the forums too , we both are new ... enjoy ! |

Hi!! First I would like to say that it is nice to meet you and welcome to the forum. I can relate to this very much. My best friend and I have been close for years but it's like I am always doing stuff for her and when I need a favor she does't come through for me! JONNIEJO..your friendship is being tested..but the truth of friendship lies in the results of the test..who will pass? who will lie wasted in the ruins..and who will be the judge? and....who appoints the judge...?? we must ask ourselves often..did i listen? did i hear? did i walk away before i found the things unsaid? did i miss anything before i closed my eyes.. we can all use a lesson in friendship now and then..we get lazy at times...i include myself in that..ask tricks (vlraynes)! but in the end..it will be the other person who gets to say whether or not you were the friend they needed you to be...and it may take time... i'm not sure i can say i enjoyed this read..as i know somewhat where it comes from...  but again, i'll say, i'm glad to see you posting in the blue and i do hope to see more from you..i'll try not to write a book on my next reply...lolhugs, g ~dgvarner/fallen rain~ "what if jesus comes back like that..will he cry when he sees where our hearts are at?..." c.raye [This message has been edited by dgvarner (edited 11-06-2001).] |
