I saw you in my dreams last night.
I cannot express the feelings that...
that came over me in my dream.

You were there, far away against a wall.
Your eyes, the deepest blue looking into my soul.
I tried to speak, but the silence of sleep stifled me.
My arms, lying still, waving frantically.

You walked around a corner, my eyes now blind.
My mind crying for you, real tears falling.
I tried to run, my legs pushing against sheets.
I could not move, I feared I had lost you.

Again I saw you, gown flowing over the waters.
Rowing in a distant boat, another lover taking you.
My voice called incoherently for you
You looked away, again you are gone.

I see you climbing steps to a house, familiar only in dreams.
A door awaits you, opening to invite you in.
The face of  your host haunts me, I remember him well.
My silent screams won’t take you away.

I see you there in a bed.  A faceless lover creating smiles of joy.
My tears flowing from my face scar my pillow.
Am I not the man of your soul, of your dreams?
When I awake, will you still be at my side?
I am afraid to wake....Let me sleep in agony.
For I will not lose you from my dreams.

Dreams are our best friends and worse friends, but always friends.

Death comes not when we cease to breathe, but when we cease to dream.

Yes they are our friends....and can be so
frustrating when you never quite are able
to find the one you are grasping for so
feverishly in dreams..

*sigh* if I get blue contacts I can be the lady in your dreams *giggling* so very romantic, Magnus. Your poems always make the hearts of those who read them respond.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.
