Three Came Riding Twas on a dark and scary night Three horsemen rode my way The one was Mike, without sight The second on his horse did lay The third man was headless Joe He had one sleeve hanging free Each horse carried a black bow They were a fearful sight to see I hid myself behind a large tree Hoping this group would pass me by Headless Joe somehow spotted me “I’ll get the bloke,” I heard him cry I ran behind a tombstone to hide I could hear the horse’s breath “Come here Bloke,” I heard him chide For you there’s little time left Loudly I screamed; then fell out of bed It was then I realized I’d had a dream There were no horsemen for me to dread No evil or frightening Halloween scheme I stood up and reached for my clothes Did I hear the galloping of horses’ feet I placed my spectacles upon my nose Braced myself for what I must meet Walking to the window and looking out I saw three horsemen coming my way Looking up at me, they gave a shout Laughing they rode by in the light of day Written by, Wanda 10/31/01

Good Morning Karen; I guess I thought I needed a little crazy humor this morning. I certainly don't want them getting close to me either. Wanda |
