The Moat A moat surrounds our castle wall Protects us from the wherewithal. A fluid wile of subtle style That hosts this verbal stone of pile. Took years of mortar and invent To build this wall of stone cement And many more of sifting sand To bring the intricate to band Within lies treasures of your mind That took you years and years to bind. And now you have a castle high That reaches clear into the sky. You walk the ramparts night and day And watch for ghosts to come your way Your weakest point is from within To change your mind would be a sin. So here you sit behind the moat And dote on useless as you gloat. [This message has been edited by Seymour Tabin (edited 10-29-2001).] |

What a great metaphor - The importance of anything and everything is relative, isn't it?? This one is awesome, Sy... ![]() |

The meaning comes through and it is a great metaphor. However, you may want to edit the spelling: mote= small particle moat= deep, wide trench, usu. filled with water, around the ramparts of a castle Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |

Hmmmmm... I've known a few castles such as this. Damn hard things to lay siege to. Enjoyed the read and the word usage. Back to the top you go. Peace! |
