There's a surface level of conversation on the edges of remembering what's been said. Let's move beyond that. OK? Let's forget the metaphors and double entendres spoken in spanish or french or some other language we can't understand, and remember the words we really spoke trying to select a memory from archives stored while standing in a gazebo gazing over the minor trickle of the creek feeding into the river with currents, so demonstrative to slam our boat into the shore -- and then, there we would be you and i and just us talking about how words muse the fuse of distance, not a material memory on film to make it real again. Yes, there's a surface level on the edges of remembering when mardi gras comes only once a year Remember? |

Je ne recollecte le 'Mardi Gras'... Never been to N'Orleans - I surely do want to go there sometime, though - Maybe we could make that a Passions retreat destination. Demideux, you've done an exemplary job here - No matter what, we always find ourselves "on the surface of remembering"... We do indeed, mon amie... |

I have to echo Menage #1 on this one. She said it all. Well done here! God bless America, my home sweet home. |

I am sorry I have no read your work before but I will dig around in the cellar for you now. I loved this poem and into my library it goes, thank you. ~*~ Carpe' Diem ~*~ |
