Wrap me in feather boas
Heel me high in tilt
Gloss the lips in shimmer
Spin me round in silk

Paint my nails in scarlet
Twist my hair in soften curl
Let me whisper secrets
Drape my neck in pearls

Lay me upon satin sashays
Picture lazy breath
Pour my glass with spirit
Quietly giggling in happiness

Better yet

Let me be me
Simply, easily, uninhibitedly
Melt with you as one
Never caring
About anything
That might come undone

Oh Regina, this sings!!! Yes it positively sings. I love this piece. It conveys my thoughts today exactly. I love the excitement and imagery of the first verses, and I love the quiet satisfaction and peacefulness of the last verse. You have put my thoughts into words on this one, a wonderful piece to start my new week off.  Did I mention, I love this piece???

1:20pm
I just reread this and realized I missed the point you were making. I love to dress up in heels and dresses, so when I read the first verses, it sang to me as a lady getting ready for a date or something, and she's so happy (ie: how I would feel getting ready to see my love). It didn't occur to me that this is not who this lady really is. Thought I'd come back and 'splain myself.

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?
