(found this in a coat pocket..another "abc" poem..)

i cant give up on you...
i cant.
is that what causes
this ache in my heart,
or is it the fact
that now i hesitate,
and stifle my words?

you are too dear to me
to spit upon your name--
too much do i love you
to give up on us my friend...

whoever you are now--
whoever you are
you'll always be part of me...

and i cant give you up.
ever...

you slide into my world
at unexpected moments--
and i fear the encounter
as much as i long for it...

g~ *sigh* very heartfelt piece...it must have been waiting in your pocket to be found again on a "rainy day" for reminiscing...it just *feels* like one of those poems, you know? Hehe...probably not...I don't know if that makes sense at all

dg, love the honest emotion in this piece. I hope you don't have to give up on your friend, he should always be there at least in spirit I would imagine...

i havent posted much for him lately..but there was a time when nearly everything i posted was for him..some are in the pub..one is in the "voices" book

the only reason I can think of to give up (on) a friend is to keep them from being hurt.....this is so sad...
