When When beauty laid its golden wing On earth and starry sea above On every field, on everything I knew that I had come to love When time no longer marked my day When night became eternity Then all the beauty, earth and sea became a living part of me For I had sipped of lover’s wine And I had known the height of bliss Sweet tunes were strumed in chords sublime In swirling rapture of a kiss When I first felt another life inside me, soon to walk on earth That was the moment I first knew fulfillment, purpose, meaning, worth When little child eyes were filled with wonderment so true and pure They captured all the splendid joys that in my life had come before They were the sum of everything where beauty laid its golden wing All came to me from heaven above the moment I first knew of love Elizabeth Santos |

wooooweeee! nice nice NICE write. ahh.. what a refreshing read this was. metre, rhyme, completion of thought, one thought per line, a completion of thoughts per stanza, a full expression through the poem, emotional and understandable. very nicely done. don't stop the pen from penning, your hand is gifted. |
