A crown of gold bathes her head
Dreamily she looks out the window
Saying goodbye to summer with much dread
Thinking of warm winter fires instead.

Memories fly through her mind
Of days of old when life was carefree
Thoughts of snowmen built with colors of doves
Surrounded by a family she loves.

Sitting by warm candlelight
Surrounded by friends warm laughter they share
Laughter to warm the heart when cold
Dreaming of tomorrow, having someone new to hold.

Dawn, like the feeling of melancholy here... I have the same feeling of late...I love fall but dread the long months of winter coming...thanks for sharing...

Lets Love one another-let God do the worrying,

There is nothing like good friends to warm the heart. Perfect

*sigh* I know the feeling. It would be wonderful to share the cold of winter wrapped in loving arms. *sigh* this wonderful poem got me to dreaming.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.
